Congressional candidate Marter on January 6th committee, fighting coronavirus, inflation

Republican Congressional candidate James Marter says the people who rioted at the Capitol on January 6th should be prosecuted. But he doesn’t think the U.S. House committee investigating what happened will be fair.

Marter says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi getting to decide which Republicans serve on the committee shows it’s partisan. And he says the two Republicans on it, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, are attacking other Republicans and causing division in the party.

Marter says there’s something grossly wrong with Gov. Pritzker ordering state employees to get vaccinated or face frequent testing for COVID-19.

Marter says the coronavirus is a serious threat, but each person should decide whether to wear a mask and whether to get a vaccine.

On the economy, Marter says the government is handing out so much money, he’s worried about high inflation like the nation had four decades ago.

Marter is campaigning against 16th District Cong. Adam Kinzinger. It’s not certain yet though which district Marter will run in. The next decade’s districts haven’t been drawn yet.
