The death of a pregnant woman has led to an eight-year prison sentence for the man who sold her drugs. The Illinois Attorney General’s Office says 27-year old Colin West of Gardner admitted to police that he sold heroin to 22-year old Samantha Kile of Braidwood. She drowned in a bathtub after using heroin mixed with fentanyl. Prosecutors say West and Kile had exchanged messages to arrange the drug deal. West is getting credit for a year-and-a-half spent in jail before he pleaded guilty this week in Grundy County to drug-induced homicide.
