For the eighth year in a row, a local woman is honoring her son with a memorial walk to raise money to prevent sudden infant deaths. Ashley Lamps has raised enough money to buy more 7,244 safe sleep sacks and more than 5,000 baby board books. Those are given to area hospitals, day cares, and other organizations.
Aden Lamps was four-and-a-half months old when he died in 2013. The annual 5K run/walk was virtual last year and will be again this year from September 4th through 11th. Registration is $20 for adults and is open through September 11th.
