A 27-year old woman from Gurnee fell down 12 steps at the entrance to Owl Canyon at Starved Rock State Park this afternoon.
The Utica Fire Department was called to check on her condition.
Fire Chief Ben Brown says this was the first time the department called for a helicopter this year at Starved Rock.
It took the woman to Peoria for treatment.
Brown says that he thinks that she will be okay.
