Congressman Adam Kinzinger said today at the Select Committee to investigate the January 6th attack that the mission is to find the truth and ensure accountability.
He says that the US was not prepared for the attack on January 6th because we never imagined it would happen.
Kinzinger also sympathized with the officers who spoke about the attack.
He says that although the people involved talked about the negative effects of the attack, they have to remember that they won.
He also says that this shouldn’t continue to be a partisan fight.
Kinzinger was appointed to the committee after Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled his five appointees because Speaker Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t allow Indiana Representative Jim Banks or Ohio Representative Jim Jordan on the committee.
