The LaSalle County Health Department is conducting a community health needs survey. Health Educator Jenny Barrie says it’s done every five years as part of the process of keeping its certification as a health department.
Barrie says a committee will take in the survey results and create a plan for addressing whatever the community’s health needs are. From the last survey five years ago, the top needs were determined to be mental health, obesity, and substance abuse.
