Cong. Adam Kinzinger says yes to serving on the U.S. House committee that will investigate the Capitol Hill riot. He says self-governance requires accountability and responsibility. And he says he’s a Republican dedicated to conservative values and who swore an oath to uphold the constitution.
Jack Lombardi, who intends to run against Kinzinger in a primary next year, says Kinzinger values the applause of Democrats and the liberal media over the interests and values of the 16th District. Lombardi’s statement also calls Kinzinger a patsy for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Another potential challenger, Catalina Lauf, says Kinzinger has again joined the Democrats by accepting an appointment to a partisan committee.
And Jim Marter partially quoted Kinzinger in a tweet and ended it with “blah blah blah”.
Clarification: A Lombardi campaign spokesman says “pasty” in the campaign’s email announcement should have been “patsy”.
