Local unemployment rates are going up again. The Illinois Department of Employment Security says LaSalle County’s rate was 6.5% last month. That’s up from 5.4% in May and higher than the 6.4% figure reported from April’s surveys.
Bureau County’s rate also climbed, going from 4.2% in May to 5.1% in June.
Putnam County’s went from 4.5% to 4.9%.
And Grundy County’s from 6.0% to 7.7%.
