The Ottawa Elementary School district’s end of the year budget is in the black because of less spending and some government funding.
The total budget is around $4.6 million dollars.
Superintendent Cleve Threadgill says that in the past the school district had to cut a lot of funding for certain programs to a point where they could have gotten rid of some if they had to.
They never did.
The district also closed this past school year out at about $2.9 million in revenue.
