No parents showed up to voice their opinions on masks and vaccinations at Tuesday’s Ottawa Elementary School Board meeting.
The board did have a discussion to reflect on current CDC guidelines and to possibly make an official plan at a special meeting in August.
Superintendent Cleve Threadgill says although the school board hasn’t made a final decision, liability can’t be ignored.
He says that he isn’t quite confident on making a final decision yet.
Threadgill also says that district will listen to all opinions.
Current CDC guidelines recommend that anyone who isn’t vaccinated should still wear a mask while those who are fully vaccinated can choose not to.
