The city of Streator is applying for a sewer installation grant. City Engineer Jeremy Palm says for an approximately $800,000 project. It’s for installing storm sewer pipes along part of Vermilion St.
The city would get $550,000 from the grant. One reason to do the project is to eliminate combined sewer overflows that happen when what’s in the sanitary and storm sewers combine during heavy rain.
