Illinois American Water is offering tips to customers to help them save on their bills.
Vice President of Operations Beth Matthews says that gardens, pools, and outdoor cleaning are all activities that go hand-in-hand with summer.
One of the tips is reusing water from a kiddy pool or rain barrel to water plants.
The water company also says that a person should water their lawn in the morning or evening when it’s cooler outside.
Matthews also says that the company hopes customers can see how easy it is to conserve water in an everyday setting.
