Some parts of this area got several inches of rain last night. A stationary rain cell dumped as much as six inches on parts of Grundy County. Several streets were flooded in Seneca and other areas nearby in LaSalle and Grundy counties.
These roads are closed in western Grundy County:
Kinsman Rd north of Grand Ridge Rd.
Dupont Rd west of Kinsman Rd which is west of H.B Fuller.
Gardner Road between Gorman Rd and Fillman Rd.
River Road east of Brookfield to Tinman St., the bridge is washed out there.
Indian trail road west of Gonam Rd is open to Kinsman Rd but then on is closed to the county line.
These roads are closed in eastern Lasalle County:
E. 27th Rd. from N. 19th to N. 20th
N. 2553rd Rd. (River Rd.) from Illinois 170/DuPont Rd. area to Brookfield Spring area.
If you see a barricade on the road, assume it’s there to protect you. Don’t drive around it. Find another way to get to wherever you’re going.
