Getting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s best safety rating means the people at the Dresden power station near Morris keep showing they can handle things themselves. NRC Resident Inspector April Nguyen (WIN) says inspections will remain full time work to make sure things stay that way. She says the Dresden inspections are baseline.
The NRC gave its annual assessment on Dresden yesterday and will report on LaSalle Station’s performance today. The reports are done every year and are not related to Exelon Generation’s plan to close Dresden if it can’t get financial help from the state.
