The University of Illinois Extension held a camp for kids that featured creating projects from 4-H called Find Your Spark in the Park.

Children from age eight to twelve went to Rotary Park in Lasalle for a week to learn about topics like poultry, nature, sports nutrition, aerospace, and cats and dogs.

4-H youth Development Educator Beth Dellatori says activities included live chickens on poultry day, including how a chicken develops in the egg.

They also learned sports nutrition from Sam Allen, the wrestling coach from St. Bede Academy.

Dellatori says during the day learning about nature the students went on a hike and a scavenger hunt.
