LaSalle Station gets green safety rating from NRC

By WCMY News Jun 28, 2021 | 1:32 PM

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will explain at 5pm Wednesday, June 30 why it gives LaSalle Station a good safety rating for 2020. The commission gave the nuclear power plant a green rating in its color coded system. That’s the best rating. It means that if there were any safety problems, they weren’t big. The presentation will also cover the Clinton power station.

The NRC is also having a meeting on the Dresden and Quad Cities nuclear power plants’ safety ratings this week. That’ll be Tuesday, June 29 at 5pm.
