The lawsuit filed by the Lasalle County Republican Party is being called “an ongoing political circus” by the Lasalle County Democratic Party.
Chair Dani Brzozowski says that it’s unfortunate that the Republican Party continues to misuse taxpayer dollars, abuse the county clerk’s time, and further erode public trust by filing the lawsuit.
Brozozowski also says that the handling of the 2020 election results was legal, appropriate and accurate.
She says it’s a clear example of government and the electoral process working exactly as they should.
Larry Smith the Republican Party Chairman claimed in the lawsuit that State’s Attorney Todd Martin and Representative Lance Yednock didn’t win because mail-in ballot counting was botched by County Clerk Lori Bongartz.
