Congressman Adam Kinzinger, along with four other members of the House of Representatives has introduced a bill to create a campaign to increase knowledge on cyber security.
The American Cyber Security Literacy Act would have the National Telecommunications and Information Administration create the program to increase knowledge about cyber security risks and how to prevent them.
The NTIA’s job is to advise President on policy issues involving telecommunications.
Kinzinger says as technological advancements increase and become more complex, it’s critical that everyone is aware of the risks posed from cyber attacks and how to mitigate the risks.
He also says in order to prevent the attacks; we must combine the public awareness with targeted cyber education.
