A ceremony for Flag Day was held at Washington Square Park Monday and hosted by the Ottawa Elks Lodge.

The ceremony included presentations of several different flags that have been used throughout U.S history.

Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge Tim Creeden says because of events in the past, America’s patriotism has grown.

Creeden says you can find The Star Spangled Banner on anything from buildings to automobiles.

Flag presented included a flag flown by forces in the Battle of Bunker Hill all the way to the 50 star flag we all know.

A Boy Scout Troop and members of the military participated and attended the event.
