The fifth consecutive Poco a Poco music program starts in Streator this Friday. Professional opera singer Kate Tombaugh has arranged for lessons for 22 students of junior high and high school age. Five of the students are from Ottawa and four are from Streator.
Some of the instructors will teach via an online connection from other countries. Poco-a-Poco is paid for through a combination of donations, sponsorships, and performance ticket prices. There’s also tuition of $295 that can be reduced for some students.
