Jeff Kling, 66 of Streator passed away Friday evening (May 28, 2021) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center.
Private family services were held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were sons, Jeremy Adams, Cory and Micah Kling, brothers-in-laws; Dave and Dale Rieck and friend Jeff Henne.
Jeff was born on June 18, 1954 in Chicago to Wendell O. and Marian (Flescher) Kling. He married Debra Rieck on January 31, 1977. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Jeremy (Jessica) Adams, Cory (Sandra Davis) Kling and Micah Joel Kling all of Streator, 3 grandchildren; Marley Adams, and Hazel and Carson Kling, brother Michael T. Kling of Olathe, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Amber Brooks Kling, 2 brothers James and Robert Kling.
Jeff attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1972. He retired after 42 years from Vactor Mfg in 2019. Jeff was a gentle loving person. He loved his family and his grandchildren. Jeff liked simple things in life. He always had something good to say. He loved hanging out with friends and listening to good tunes. Jeff lived and loved life. He will be sadly missed but happily remembered.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
