The Serena Huskers lost to Newark 13-0 in five innings.

 

Seneca earned a 4-3 Tri-County Conference win over Marquette at June Gross Field in softball.

Maggie Carpenter allowed five hits and struck out nine for the Irish.

Marquette Lady Crusader Kaylee Killelea gave up seven hits, two earned runs and struck out fifteen batters in the loss.

 

In girls soccer.

Ottawa lost at Morris 6-1 in the first round of the Interstate Eight Conference Tournament.

Gabi Krueger scored the lone goal for the Lady Pirates.

 

Streator lost at home to Herscher 4-2 in soccer.

Goalie Sydney Donahue recorded 21 saves for the Lady Bulldogs.

 

Seneca won at home against the St Bede Bruins 63-10 in wrestling.

Winners for the Irish: Kyler Hahn  Luke Sangston Nate Othon Owen Feiner Kyle Hamby  Maveric Varland  Nathan Elliot. And Will Milton

The Bruins Noah Setzer, James Sanchez and Ethan Flemming were winners in the team loss.

 

The Ottawa JV tennis team finished the regular season with an undefeated 11-0 record after beating Kaneland 5-0.

For the Pirates  Sebastian Cabrera and Owen Phillips each won in singles.

The teams of Ethan Hancock/Zander Houk, Taegeon Eom/Ethan Cela and Landen Thorsen/Rylan Salas were all winners in doubles.

 

Seneca hosted a four team track meet with Wilmington, Henry and Marquette. 

The Irish were winners in the boys division with Wilmington taking second, The Crusaders placing third and Henry finishing fourth.

The Lady Irish won the girls division with Wilmington placing second, Henry taking third and the Lady Crusaders finishing fourth.
