The Ottawa Elementary School Board appointed two new members to the board on Tuesday.
Sean Conley and Lori Kimes are the new members.
Sean Conley said he decided to apply to the board because of his kids.
Conley also says that he isn’t originally from Ottawa but the town has given him so much that he wants to give back
Conley said he became aware of the vacant seats which is why he decided to apply for the position.
The school board was accepting applications because no one ran for the two seats in the April Election.
Lori Kimes said she put in her application because the timing was right.
Kimes says she was an administrator for over 35 years.
Kimes said she is excited to get to work moving the district forward and competing with other districts.
