Buffalo Park Shooting Range has been criticized by a homeowner who lives near the range and says it’s too loud.
Joan Bernabei says the noise from gun shots at the range can be heard very well.
Bernabei is referring to how many decibels it is between talking and firing a gun.
Brooks Rees one of the owners of the shooting range says the range isn’t getting enough positive attention for the tourism it brings to the county.
Bernabei said to the Lasalle County Board on Thursday that she wants a noise ordinance created for loud noises like the gun shots to not be heard in the neighborhood.
She claims that one of her family members has to drive 15 minutes outside the neighborhood to put a two year old down for a nap because of the gun range.
