The Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance is setting their sights on bringing the 10th annual wine weekend event called “Ottawa Uncorked” back this year.

The event is planning to take place on the weekend of June 5th from 11am to 6pm and June 6th from 11am to 4pm.

Director of the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance Lisa Ellis says there is one wine in particular that is great to produced in the state.

Ellis says the IGGVA hangs it’s hat on having great Rose.

She says the alliance helps members by promoting grape growing and showing how to make wine in the state.

Ellis also says she appreciates the outpouring of community support for the event.
