There will be an in-person Memorial Day ceremony in Ottawa this year. Ottawa Memorial Association President Katie Troccoli says there won’t be a parade between the two events. But after the wreath dropping at the Main St. Fox River bridge at 9:30am, the audience can gather in front of the memorial at Washington Park for a program at 10:00.
There won’t be a luncheon afterward. The ceremony will be on Monday, May 31st. Last year’s was limited to a small event done online only as the pandemic built up.
