29-year-old Michael Swift of Mokena was in court today after being accused of the murder of 21-year-old Grace Taylor.

State’s Attorney Todd Martin and Public Defender Tim Cappellini both addressed the court.

Martin said a grand jury met and brought back five counts of indicment.

Cappellini entered a plea of not guilty.

Judge Cynthia Raccuglia mentioned in court today that Swift has also now accused of two more counts of desecrating a corpse.

Swifts court date is scheduled for August 16th.

Last month police were called to West McKinley Road where they found the body of Grace Taylor in an apartment.
