Everett Solon of Streator is the new Illinois Valley Community College Board chair. He’s been on the board since 2013 and won reelection unopposed last month. He was vice chair while Jane Goetz chaired the board from 2017 until this week’s organizational meeting.
Jay McCracken is the new vice chair. Angie Stevenson is the secretary.
Another decision the board made is naming Streator High School Supt. Matt Seaton the Vice President for Business Services and Finance starting next month. Cheryl Roelfsema is retiring from that job.
