Last night the Sox lost at home to Detroit 5-2. The Sox were unable to capitalize on the Tigers’ mistakes and had eight hits but couldn’t earn more than two runs while giving up three homers and a double to the Tigers.

The Chicago Cubs were held to just two hits as the Braves cruised to a 5-0 win at Truist Park in Atlanta. The North-Siders pitcher Trevor Williams struck out eight but only lasted five-innings with zero run support. The Cubs will try to end their four-game slide tonight when they play the Braves again in Atlanta.
The St. Louis Cardinals scored early in a 5-2 win over the Phillies at Busch Stadium. Tommy Edman hit a go-ahead two-run double in the second-inning to give the Cardinals the lead. The Cards and Phillies will continue their series tonight.
The Blackhawks gave up three unanswered goals to Tampa Bay in the second period as the Lightning skated away with a 7-4 victory. The Hawks offense was paced by goals from Brandon Hagel, Wyatt Kalynuk, Duncan Keith, and Dominik Kubalik.
The Chicago Bulls finish up their three-game road trip tonight when they play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
