A man from Thomson, Illinois is jailed with bond set at $50,000 after he allegedly led police on a high speed chase in LaSalle County Monday. Thirty-eight year old James R. Tracy is accused of some traffic charges and aggravated assault, because he allegedly tried to run over a police officer. The chase started in the Lostant area, went into Marshall County and back, and then went up Interstate 39 to Interstate 80 near Utica. Tracy is to be in court again Thursday next week to find out what charges a grand jury has approved.
