A garage was burned up and the house next to it has some fire damage in Mendota. The fire was in the 1500 block of Indiana Ave. yesterday afternoon. The Mendota Fire Department asked for help from neighboring fire departments through MABAS, the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System. It was a windy afternoon, making it harder to fight a fire outside.
