Although he hasn’t formally announced his campaign Rod Cruz is running to unseat Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth.
Cruz says he has one advantage in beating Duckworth.
He says being born in Joliet means he could have a chance to get enough votes in Cook County.
Cruz says he grew up in Joliet and understands what it like is to work a blue collar life.
He says he understands what kids are going through because he grew up in a tough neighborhood.
He also says he knows how to get out if it, it takes hard work and dedication.
