State rental assistance pandemic relief program coming to the area

The North Central Illinois Council of Governments can help renters in this area get help paying what they owe. It’s under a rental assistance program starting in May. Households having trouble paying the rent because of hardships that came out of the pandemic can apply for up to 15 months of help. The most any one tenant can get is $25,000.
