LaSalle Station Unit 2 may be up to full power again this week. It’s been offline for refueling and maintenance for two months.
Each reactor at the nuclear power plant is shut down every two years. Hundreds of extra workers are brought in to replace some of the nuclear fuel and to do maintenance on circuits and equipment that can’t be serviced while it’s being used.
The reactor was off from February 21st to April 17th.
