The number of current coronavirus cases in LaSalle County is above 2,000 again. It went below that number about a month ago. That was a month after it went under 3,000.
The LaSalle County Health Department reported fatal case number 293 over the weekend—a man in his 70’s.
With the number of cases in this area going up again, the Illinois Department of Public Health put the county in orange warning status. It doesn’t mean restrictions are coming back, at least not yet.
