On Saturday, April 17th the Lasalle County Republican Party hosted their Reagan Day Dinner and candidate forum.
The event took place at the Pitstick Pavilion on Ottawa’s north side.
Larry Smith, Chair of the Lasalle County Republican Party explains a portion of what he believes the Republican Party stands for.
Smith says that the strength of the state and nation belong with the individual. Part of the event was to recognize the accomplishments and values that President Ronald Reagan stood for.
The event also hosted a forum for candidates for the House of Representatives, Senate and gubernatorial races to give speeches on why they should be chosen in the primary.
