Students from Ladd Grade School will plant trees and pollinator gardens at Matthiessen State Park Thursday morning. They may also pull out invasive plants. It’s for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Earth Day in the Parks event. Students from several schools across the state, Boy Scout troops, and University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners will do such things at 17 state parks on different days through May 15th.
