If you have any expired prescription or over the counter drugs in your home there will be an event in Streator to dispose of them.
The fifth annual Drive-Thru Drug Take Back will be in Streator City Park on Saturday, April 24th from 10am to 1pm.
Ellen Vogel, Community Health Engagement Program Manager says there is a reason that many people prefer this kind of drop off.
Vogel says that there are some who are afraid to go to the police station.
In the past four years of the event they have collected 230 pounds of pills and over 130 pounds of creams, liquids, inhalers, and sharps.
The drive-thru take back is being done through Live Well of Streator.
