Dallas Keuchel tossed four scoreless innings as the White Sox beat the Cubs 3-1 at Sloan Park. Danny Mendick homered for the Sox, while Aaron Bummer earned the win in relief. Nico Hoerner drove in the lone run for the Cubs and Andrew Chafin was tagged with the loss.
Kyle Hendricks will be the Cubs Opening Day starter. The right-hander will take the mound April 1st at Wrigley Field against the Pirates to begin the season. Hendricks is set to make his second consecutive Opening Day start.
The Cardinals and Nationals tied 5-5 in Jupiter, Florida. Austin Dean drilled a two-run homer for St. Louis, and Adam Wainwright fired six innings of one-run ball. The Cards host the Mets today.
The Blackhawks held on to beat the Panthers 3-2 at the United Center. The Hawks snapped a four-game losing streak that included two games against Florida last week. Dominik Kubalik, Pius Suter and Carl Soderberg all scored in the win, while Kevin Lankinen made 33 stops. The Hawks and Panthers meet again tomorrow night at the United Center.
The Bulls host the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center tonight. The Bulls fell 120-95 to the Jazz on Monday.

Piper Nanouski had 17 kills, 7 digs and Lily Miller added 28 assists for the Lady Pirates.

Addie McConnaughhay finished with six kills and six digs for the Lady Crusaders.
Seneca dominated at home against Woodland 25-6 25-21
Maddie Bromberek had eight kills and a block, Brooklyn Giertz finished with a dozen assists and five digs.
Streator was defeated at Reed-Custer
For the Lady Bulldogs Natali Haynes had six kills and a block and Mallory Goerne finished with four kills.
The Marquette JV football team was defeated by Wethersfield Monday night 28-0.
On the offense, Vinny Battistelli rushed for 60 yards. For the defense, Charlie Mullen had 8 tackles. The JV Crusaders play Stark County on Monday.
Streator Bulldogs A.J. Benning and Jack Haynes were selected to the Illinois Central Eight All-Conference basketball team.
