St. Sen. Brian Stewart says Gov. Pritzker is dragging his feet. The Freeport Republican says more than a year into the pandemic, Gov. Pritzker continues to run the state by executive order with little or no input from lawmakers. Stewart says it makes no sense, because the legislators know more than he does about what’s going on in their communities, the businesses closed, the jobs lost, and the increasingly frequent food giveaways. And Stewart says the governor should provide the data he’s using to justify his COVID-19 mitigation guidelines.
