Scattered power outages, likely caused by the weather, have been affecting the area since the noon hour. Ameren Illinois estimates restoration times of late this afternoon to early evening. Ameren areas affected are in Naplate, on Ottawa’s south side, north of Ottawa, south of Ottawa, southwest of Marseilles, north of Utica, and in the Troy Grove area. ComEd areas affected include Streator, northeast of Grand Ridge, Ransom, Seneca, and Mendota.
