St. Rep. Tom Demmer says the $13.5 billion coming to Illinois from the latest coronavirus relief bill should be used carefully. $7.5 billion of that is for state government. $6 billion is for local governments.
Demmer suggests paying back $3 billion owed to the Federal Reserve. And the Dixon Republican says the state should pay the small vendors it owes. They’re waiting for payments and have been hurt by a lack of business during the pandemic.
