The Ottawa boys bowling team lost on senior night to Sterling
High roller for the Pirates was Dustin Gende with a 572 series score and single game high of 277. Nelson Brandt added a 566 series score with a high game of 213.
The JV team defeated Sterling leading the way for Ottawa was Nolan Alexander with a 442 overall score.
The Pirates will head to Dekalb for the I8 conference tournament.
College Basketball
The Fighting Illini opens play in the Big Ten Tournament today in Indianapolis. The Illini square off against Rutgers in the quarterfinal round.

On Saturday ISU is at North Dakota State, SIU is home taking on Northern Iowa, Western will host North Dakota and on Sunday Eastern travels to face Tennessee State.
The White Sox fell to the Reds, 7-4, at Goodyear Ballpark. Eloy Jiménez homered for Chicago, while Reynaldo López was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs on six hits over three innings. The Sox visit the Rangers today.
Joc Pederson homered twice in the Cubs 8-6 win over the Rockies at the Salt River Fields. Javier Báez smacked a two-run shot and Kris Bryant added a two-run double for the Northsiders. Kyle Hendricks picked up the win despite giving up four runs in three innings. The Cubs host the Brewers today
The Cardinals host the Astros today in Jupiter, Florida. Adam Wainwright gets the start for the Cards. Kent Emanuel takes the mound for Houston.
The Bulls fell behind early and never recovered in a 127-105 loss to the Seventy-Sixers at the United Center. Lauri Markkanen led Chicago with 23-points, while Zach LaVine scored 19. The Bulls have lost three of four and will host the Miami Heat tonight.
The Blackhawks scored four goals on their first eight shots of the game in a 4-2 win against the Stars in Dallas. Dominik Kubalik, Carl Soderberg, Duncan Keith and Alex DeBricnat all lit the lamp for the Hawks, while Kevin Lankinen made 28 stops in his 10th victory of the season. The Blackhawks continue their six-game road trip against the Florida Panthers tomorrow night.
