A conservative activist says there is someone planning to run in a primary against Republican Cong. Adam Kinzinger. Scott Presler says the person isn’t ready to announce the candidacy yet, so for now, Presler is visiting the 16th District to train people. He’s in Minooka this weekend and plans to be in Ottawa sometime soon. He says more than 450 people in the 16th District have signed up to learn how to organize a campaign and reach out to voters.
Presler grew up in Florida and now lives in Virginia. Several weeks ago, he announced his intent to travel to the Illinois 16th Congressional District and other locations around the country to see that Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump get challenged. He has put a strong pro-Trump stance on Twitter since the 2016 election cycle.
