Cong. Adam Kinzinger isn’t sweating being censured by the Will County Republican Party. The Channahon Republican says party leaders in that county have let Democrats take control of the County Board and win all the county-wide offices. He says he’s saddened by their ineptitude. And Kinzinger says maybe Republicans could win races in Will County if the Republican Party there would help them instead of going after candidates for what he calls petty censure votes.
The Will County GOP vote was the latest along the lines of disapproving of Kinzinger for voting to impeach former Pres. Trump. The LaSalle County GOP did that earlier this month. The Illinois Republican Party’s Central Committee decided not to have such a vote, instead saying fighting among each other would give Democrats what they want.
