A local man charged in connection with last month’s U.S. Capitol riot is back in LaSalle County after being released from federal custody last week on personal recognizance. Twenty-eight year old Mathew W. Capsel isn’t allowed to leave his home except for work, church, medical care, and court.
He’s now living in Ottawa where police arrested him Monday on a charge of missing court in a case filed last year.

Capsel’s accused of violating an order of protection in that case. LaSalle County Judge H. Chris Ryan agreed to let Capsel go Tuesday, also on a personal recognizance bond. He’s to be in federal court again in Washington, DC on March 4 and in LaSalle County again on March 12.
