Maybe the Illinois Republican Party won’t vote on censuring Cong. Adam Kinzinger Saturday. It issued a statement saying it strongly disagrees with Kinzinger and any other Republican who voted to impeach Pres. Trump or who would vote to convict Trump. But then the statement says the party will let voters decide whether they like Kinzinger’s vote.

The statement says, “We cannot play into Democrat hands by fighting amongst each other, so we encourage all Republicans to focus on the future rather than relitigating the past.” The Chicago Tribune reported over the weekend, the state GOP would consider a censure vote against Kinzinger tomorrow when it elects a new state chairman. The LaSalle County Republican Party Central Committee voted this week to censure him.
