Edward C. Drackley, 84, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Ottawa Pavilion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Saturday January 23, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles with Fr. Alexander Millar officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.
Ed was born April 19, 1936 in Ottawa to Lawrence and Cora (Jelm) Drackley. In 1961, he married Joan Sutton of Marseilles, who preceded him in death in 2016.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He graduated from Marseilles High School in the class of 1954. He farmed north of Marseilles until his retirement.
Ed is survived by his sons, Michael (Penny) Drackley and their children, Nathan, Austin, and Lauren of Joliet, and Brian Drackley and his three sons, Brendan, Derek, and Kyle of Gilberts, IL; one brother, Howard Drackley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Drackley.
Memorials may be given for masses.
Pallbearers will be Brendan, Derek, Kyle, Nathan, and Austin Drackley, and Eric Marshall.
