Bars and restaurants can be open from 6am to 11pm again in this area. Illinois COVID-19 mitigation “Region 2” went to “Tier 1” safety measures. The Illinois Department of Public Health says you have to make a reservation to go to a restaurant and there can only be four in your party. The restaurant can only have 25 guests or 25% of its normal maximum capacity. Other indoor gatherings are limited to 25 guests or 25% of the place’s capacity. The change is because of low enough infection rates and high enough hospital bed availability in Region 2.
