The Marseilles City Council has held its hearing on realigning the intersection at the south end of Main St. Engineer Jose Alvarez says it’s hard for trucks to turn at Main and Commercial streets. And it’s awkward for other drivers with Broadway St. being off kilter from there. Commercial will be widened to the north and Broadway will be moved to the south.
The city is hoping to use federal funds to pay for most of the $500,000 project. The city will have to buy two buildings and tear them down to make room.
